State of the Art report

As part of Work Package 3 (WP3), the State of the Art report brings together findings from WP2 with current research, best practices and market solutions addressing student disengagement and risk of early school leaving. It examines the academic, institutional and socio-economic factors that can contribute to early school leaving. In addition, it explores current digital tools that aim to support teachers enhance student engagement. Special attention is given to technology solutions that can help teachers translate student activity data into meaningful, timely and pedagogically aligned support. The insights from this research are intended to inform design guidelines for future technology development, including the Engaging Minds toolkit that will be developed as part of this project. These guidelines emphasise low-stress interventions, process related feedback, affective insights, teacher usability and ethical and responsible use of student data.
