Engaging Minds
At the partner schools, we are proud to announce the launch of Engaging Minds — a collaborative project dedicated to improving student retention through evidence-based best practices. The initiative brings together educators, administrators, and researchers who share one goal: helping every student succeed and thrive throughout their educational journey.
Why Focus on Student Retention?
Student retention is one of the key indicators of educational quality and student well-being. When students stay engaged, connected, and supported, they are far more likely to complete their studies and achieve their goals. Yet, many factors — academic, social, and personal — influence whether students persist or drop out.
Through Engaging Minds, we aim to understand these factors better and develop strategies that make a measurable difference.
What the Project Will Do
The project will explore and implement best practices for engagement and retention across different learning environments. This includes:
- Identifying early warning signs of student disengagement.
- Testing new approaches to mentoring, feedback, and student support.
- Creating communities of practice where teachers share what works — and what doesn’t.
- Collecting data and stories to evaluate impact and continuously refine our approach.
Each phase of the project will be rooted in collaboration — between teachers, students, and leadership — to ensure that every perspective helps shape the final outcomes.
Building a Culture of Engagement
More than just a project, Engaging Minds is about building a culture. A culture where students feel seen, supported, and motivated to keep learning. By sharing best practices and creating stronger relationships between staff and students, we hope to make learning environments more inclusive and resilient.
What’s Next
As the project gets underway, we’ll be sharing updates, insights, and stories from the classroom. Our goal is to inspire others across the education sector to take small, practical steps that can have a big impact on retention and student success.
Stay tuned — and join us in reimagining what student engagement can look like.
