The Engaging Minds partnership is making steady progress on the development of the project’s handbook on student retention and engagement.

Following the completion of the data collection phase, partners are now analysing the information gathered across Denmark, Sweden, Finland, and Ireland. The aim is to identify key patterns, challenges, and successful approaches that can help schools better support student engagement and reduce the risk of dropout.

The analysis includes both quantitative and qualitative data, providing valuable insights into the experiences of students, teachers, and educational professionals in different educational contexts. By comparing findings across partner countries, the project seeks to develop a deeper understanding of the factors that influence student retention and success.

The results of this work will form the foundation of the Engaging Minds Handbook. The handbook will combine research findings, data analysis, practical examples, and evidence-informed recommendations that can be applied in schools across Europe.

Partners are working closely together to ensure that the handbook reflects both the complexity of student retention and the practical realities faced by educators. We are excited to see the handbook taking shape and look forward to sharing more updates as the work continues.
